Remembrance Sunday 2015

Today, Sunday 8th November is Remembrance Sunday, where we acknowledge and give thanks to those service men and women, who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the conflicts of the last 100 years, in the pursuit of the freedom that we enjoy today.

Bromley Temple Salvation Army, like many other Salvation Army centres and churches around the world, today remembered the fallen, both at our hall in Ethelbert Road, and at the Bromley Civic act of remembrance at Bromley Parish Church.

The service at Bromley hall was led by Lt. Col. Graham Owen, with the message presented by General Shaw Clifton (Retired) on the theme of ‘Glory and Thorns’

The service at Bromley Parish Church (www.bromleyparishchurch.org) was led by the Reverend Anne Jablonski, Vicar of Bromley. Also in attendance were the members of HM Armed Forces, The Royal British Legion and other uniformed organisations, as well as Mayor of Bromley, and local Member of Parliament Bob Neill.

The band were once again privileged to take part in the service, providing music before the service, as well as accompanying some of the hymns and to lead the march to Bromley War Memorial at Martins Hill.

The accompanying pictures hopefully provide a sense of the occasion. Special thanks to Chloe Debonnaire for being our photographer today!
