Bible Study

The Scriptures are vital in the life of the Salvationist. They not only form the principal focus of the meeting, but are also an essential ingredient in everyday life.

We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments were given by inspiration of God, and that they only constitute the divine rule of Christian faith and practice.                                                            Salvation Army Doctrine

 
Group Bible Study forms part of the life of Bromley Temple Corps. But you don’t need to be a member of the corps to attend. All are welcome.

 

The Weekly Bible Study 

A Bible Study Group meets at 10.00am on Wednesdays in the Bromley Temple Hall, with coffee served from 9.40am. Colonel Barbara Johnson is co-ordinator.

Study series are led by a group of leaders including: Lt Col Steve Pallant, Comr John Swinfen, Mr Martin Nunn, Major Harold Stone, General Shaw Clifton (Retired), Comr Norman Howe, Comr Margaret Sutherland and others. 

Topics have included: People of Courage, The Ten Commandments, Mark’s Perspective on Jesus, Studies in Colossians, Encounters with God, The Mercy Seat, The Holy Spirit in the Book of Acts, the Book of James, The Image of the Door, Angels, The Evolution of Christianity from Judaism.
